Welcome aboard, Liesl!

Equestrian WA is excited to welcome Liesl van der Merwe, who joined our team as bookkeeper in February 2024. Originally from South Africa, Liesl moved to Perth in 2010 and now calls the beautiful Swan Valley home. With over two decades of accounting experience, Liesl brings a strong passion for numbers and a fresh perspective to our financial department.

"The variety of disciplines at Equestrian WA adds an exciting twist to the usual financial statements, and I was eager to expand my knowledge," Liesl says. She enjoys the serene work environment, surrounded by trees, birds, and horses.

Outside of work, Liesl's life is centered around her family. "I used to have a life before children," she jokes. Nowadays, she spends her spare time driving her kids around, cooking, and helping with homework.

Liesl aims to leverage her experience from various industries to improve our accounts and workflow. She also values a positive work environment and enjoys bringing humour to the office. "If I can bring a joke, I will," she says.

With her expertise and cheerful personality, Liesl van der Merwe is a wonderful addition to the Equestrian WA team.
