Maitland Park Junior Equestrian Development Squad Returns in 2025!

Equestrian WA is excited to announce the return of the Maitland Park Junior Equestrian Development Squad (JEDS) in 2025!

JEDS is designed to help Western Australia’s young riders (under 18) excel in their age group, progress through competition levels, and set them on the pathway to joining Equestrian WA’s high-performance squads.

Applications are now open!

All horse-and-rider combinations must complete an online application form, including their qualifications achieved between 1 January 2024 and 1 January 2025. Riders may apply with up to two horses, with each requiring a separate application.

Key details:

• Eligibility: Riders must be 17 years or younger as of 1 January 2025.
• Application Requirements: Submit an essay (approximately 500 words) or a 2–3-minute video as part of the application process.
• Assessment Day: Required for new combinations, riders with Pony Club results only, and any past members who don’t meet qualifications.
