Successful weekend for WA riders
The 2014 Australasian Show Horse and Rider Championships were held this weekend at Werribee Park in Victoria, with a strong WA contingent making the trek across the Nullabor.
Special congratulations must go to Richard Rice and Burnbrae Park Talisman for being crowned National Small Galloway 14 hands up to 14.2 hands.
Other notable performances include:
Yarlarla Park Mannequin & Taylor Williams - Reserve Champion Leading Rein Pony up to 12hh.
Gordon Park Timepiece & Anna Duffy - Reserve Champion Large Pony over 13hh & up to 14hh.
Bevanlee Greetings & Chloe Versteegan - Reserve Champion Junior Rider 12 years & under.
Friday Results
WA Eventing also took another boost this weekend when several riders competed at Lakes and Craters. Shenae Lowings (18) won the CCI 2** on Venture Sky High, defeating fellow WA Rider and Olympian Sonja Johnson on Misty Isle Valentino. Shenae was also successful with Ballyhoo in the CCI* Junior class. For full results click here.
