Celebrating Equestrian Excellence: Congratulations to Australia's Olympic Team

Australia is set to make its mark at the 2024 Paris Olympics this August, with a stellar team of equestrian athletes ready to compete on the world stage. Among the talented individuals representing the green and gold are some notable members and former members of Equestrian Western Australia (EWA).

Will Matthew, a long-time member of Equestrian Western Australia since 2007, has been selected to represent Australia in the Dressage discipline. Will’s journey in equestrianism began at a young age, and despite extensive training abroad, he has proudly maintained his membership with EWA. His dedication and passion for the sport have led him to this prestigious opportunity to compete at the highest level.

We also extend our excitement and recognise, Shenae Lowings, a former member of Equestrian Western Australia, will join the Olympic team as part of the travelling reserves for the eventing phase. Shenae’s inclusion is a testament to her skill and determination, and she stands ready to support the team in any capacity required.

In addition, we celebrate Lord Lamarque, an EWA-registered horse owned by Jade Moody. Lord Lamarque will partner with para-equestrian rider Stella Barton in the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, as part of the Dressage Team.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Will, Shenae, and all the equestrian athletes representing Australia. Their hard work, resilience, and sportsmanship embody the spirit of our nation. As they prepare to showcase their talents in Paris, we wish them the very best for success at this year’s Olympics.

Go Australia!
