SEC Completes Phase 1 of Electrical and Lighting Upgrades

Brighter Future Ahead!

In a significant leap towards enhancing facilities and promoting sustainable practices, the State Equestrian Centre (SEC) proudly announces the completion of the first phase of its electrical and lighting upgrades. This milestone, achieved just last week, marks a pivotal moment in SEC's journey of constant improvement.

The comprehensive works encompassed several key areas, including the installation of state-of-the-art LED lights in the Indoor Arena and joining Offices and Function Bar Areas, and Stable aisles. Additionally, Solar panels have been installed on the roof to save power costs and a main switchboard upgrade were integral parts of this phase. These improvements not only promise to elevate the overall experience for equestrians but also signify a commitment to environmental sustainability through the adoption of energy-efficient technologies.

Central to the success of this endeavour was the unwavering support of the Department of Local Government, Sport, and Cultural Industries, without their support, projects like this simply wouldn't be possible. With the successful completion of Phase 1, the SEC now sets its sights on the next stage of upgrades.

Phase 2 of the electrical and lighting upgrades, commenced this week, and will see the installation of new lighting towers and LED lights in the Duncan Equine Indoor Warm-Up Arena, International Arena, and Front and Back Car Parks. Furthermore, all remaining switchboards will undergo necessary upgrades to ensure optimal functionality and safety.

These enhancements pave the way for expanded utilisation of SEC's facilities with the ability to harness the brilliance of new bright lights after-hours. We thank Solargain, Change Energy, and Integrated Power for their part in the project and assistance in making this project a reality.
