ROYAL COMMAND
Royal Command, a Street Sense gelding born in Western Australia with Peters Investments, began his racing career in 2016. Trained by Jason Pateman, Williams Racing, and Durrant Racing, he retired in 2021 after 25 starts, with seven wins and over $300,000 in prize money and bonuses.
Nicknamed "Prince," he transitioned smoothly to his off the track career with Isabelle Siegwart. Through frequent OTTWA clinics and events, Prince excelled in jumping disciplines and quickly developed into a competitive partner for Issy.
In October 2024, Prince found a new rider in Tilly Denny-Itl, a client of Isabelle’s. Tilly was drawn to his work ethic and goofy personality. “He always gives 110% and is calm and laid back, whether at home or at competitions,” she said.
Prince has bolstered Tilly’s confidence in jumping, ensuring she feels safe and supported. The pair have begun competing in 70cm and 80cm classes, winning both at the Wanneroo Agricultural Show in November as the only combination to go double clear.
Looking ahead to 2025, Tilly aims for consistent 80cm rounds and plans to explore eventing. She aspires to tackle 1m classes in the future, all while enjoying every moment with her reliable and talented partner.
Off the Track WA extends best wishes to Royal Command and Tilly for their promising journey ahead, showcasing the versatility and potential of retired racehorses.
