Team WA Shines at Melbourne International 3DE, Ruby Rae Clinches 1st Place
Team Western Australia achieved remarkable success at the Melbourne International 3DE, with Ruby Rae leading the charge. Ruby's stellar performance in the FEI Horse Trials – CCI Junior/Young Rider 2*-L – Off The Track secured her a commanding 1st place on WHF Frequency, cementing her status as a rising star. This outstanding victory also earned her the Gillian Rolton Best Performed Junior award, highlighting her exceptional talent and dedication.
In the Young Horse Event, Charlee Morton-Sharp placed 7th in the 4 YO Class on SV Pride of Merisi. The 6 YO Class saw Tessa Sharman take 3rd with Cuba RL, and Sonja Johnson finish 5th on Lockharts Cosmos. Sonja’s prowess continued as she claimed 2nd in the HKJC Restart Rising Stars on Lockharts Cosmos. Charlee Morton-Sharp also shone in the CCN1*-L, securing 5th on SV Oceans Fifteen.
Ellie Gough delivered a commendable performance, achieving 3rd on GSH Azugo in the CCI Junior/Young Rider 2*-L and earning the Highest Placed OTT title. Charlee Morton-Sharp rounded out the top ten on SV Supermaxi. In the CCI2*-L – Off the Track, Tessa Sharman placed 6th on Cuba RL, and Team WA Gold triumphed in the 2* Teams Event.
Emily Gray (7th on Legal Chas), Riley Lyall (9th on GI War Machine), and Isobel Stevens-Menzie (17th on Azarax) performed admirably in the CCI3*-L – 4Cyte, while Sonja Johnson on Parkiarrup Showtime finished 5th in the CCI4*-L - Prydes EasiFeed.
