The Benefits of EWA Membership

Where an EWA Membership Can Take You

As our most important asset, Equestrian WA is committed to enhancing your experience as a member of our sport and community, and consistently improving the value of your membership.

We encourage you all to familiarise yourself with what is available to you to ensure you get the most out of your membership experience. Our aim is to provide you with everything you need to enable you to achieve your ambitions and aspirations within our sport, no matter what discipline or role you're involved with.

Below is a brief overview of the benefits available to you when you become an EWA member:

EWA - Your Membership, Your Benefits

Competition Pathways

Whether you are a pleasure rider simply wanting to have fun with your horse or a seasoned competitor at the peak of your chosen discipline, EWA membership allows you to participate at events across the state (where EWA membership is accepted). Achievements at all levels are recognised through prizes at events, leaderboards and annual awards for each discipline.

Insurance

Your EWA membership provides you with 24/7 personal accident and public liability insurance cover that is second to none. Your insurance covers you for any activity when you are handling your horse, whether in the paddock, on a trail ride, at a clinic or competition and when you are travelling to and from events. The insurance will also assist while you are off work with a loss of income protection component. For policy details and additional product packages available to members please visit the Marsh Sport Website.

Horse Registration and Performance Records

Members can register their horses to compete in official competitions, for biosecurity purposes or to secure a name. Members can also view their competition performance results on MyEA.

Support the Sport

Part of all membership fees goes to Equestrian Australia in the form of a National Levy which allows the continued administration, development and regulation of the sport on a national and international level. By becoming a member, you will be part of a structured organisation that formulates rules and regulations, monitors the sport, and also contributes to the training of officials and coaches. Your membership will also help support the State Equestrian Centre.

High Performance Programs

The EWA High Performance Programs offers members development opportunities through talent identification, pathways training clinics and state team representation. Riders who achieve good consistent results in their chosen discipline(s) will be invited to join the High Performance Squads.

Youth Development Programs

EWA offers a number of youth development and competition pathways for young riders including the Saddles Plus State Interschool Championship event, Maitland Park Equestrian Rising Stars Development Squad, and discipline-specific youth leaderboards.

Education

Members have access to a vast range of educational opportunities in the areas of Horse Management, Riding, Officiating and Coaching. Contact the Equestrian Australia Education department on (02) 8762 7777 for more information on current resources and courses available.
