EWA Welcomes New Board Member
Equestrian WA would like to welcome Jessica Blackwell - new Equestrian WA Board Member for 2015.
Jessica (pictured below) has owned and competed her own horses for twenty years. She worked for EWA from 2006 to 2009 as Volunteer and Events Manager for the State Equestrian Centre. She then helped found the Swan River Dressage Association and coordinated the club for two years. Jessica has also founded Equestricare, a successful Equine Sports Therapy business, which is now in its ninth year and has trained equine sports therapist’s Australia-wide.
Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science degree, as well as a Diploma in Business Management. These qualifications have given her a good understanding of, not only the WA Equestrian Industry, but also what it takes to run a business. In addition to this, she is also a member of the Telstra WA Women’s Awards Alumni committee, and was previously on the State Equestrian Centre Sub-Committee.
Equestrian WA believes that Jessica will be a valuable addition to the EWA Board, and hope that her knowledge and equestrian industry experience will help implement EWA’s vision of “creating a thriving equestrian community”.
