TRANSITORY

Transitory, a 2019 mare by Playing God out of Fleeting Angel, was bred by Mungrup Stud and trialed twice in 2023 under Neville Parnham. Despite showing potential, she retired without an official racing start. After retiring, Transitory, affectionately known as Poppy, was rehomed to young rider Chloe Land. Chloe had met Poppy while the mare was at their family property for breaking in and quickly fell in love with her gentle and small stature.

Poppy enjoyed a long break before starting her new career as a show jumper with Chloe and her mother, Natasha Plunkett. Initially, they began with trail rides and flatwork, but it became clear that Poppy had a natural love for jumping. After her first jumping lesson with Rosie Oliver in August 2024, Poppy took to the discipline with ease, and the pair now enjoy weekly lessons.

Poppy and Chloe have had an impressive start to their jumping career, including recent achievements at the 2024 Hygain Patrons Cup Festival of Showjumping, where they placed 5th in both the 65cm Optimum Time and the 70cm Super 2 Phase. Poppy has also competed at the Northam Agricultural Show, winning Best Performed Off the Track Horse after placing first in the 70cm.

Chloe is excited about their future together and hopes to continue developing Poppy’s jumping abilities as they move forward as a team.
